Pastor Bert Christian from Albany Baptist requests special prayer for a member of their recent mission team to Romania. Jim Fales, member of Albany and professor at Ohio University at Athens, was on the mission trip to Romania with his wife, Sharon, and 5 other Albany members. Jim suffered a massive stroke last Monday, July 21. He was taken to a medical facility nearby and then transferred to the hospital in Cluj for a few days. Upon determining the severity of the stroke, Jim was transferred to a hospital in Vienna, Austria.

The doctors give him no hope of survival. He is on life support and it is illegal to remove him from it until he is declared brain dead. His 4 children are there with them, but one son, Mark, has to return to the States Wednesday. Please pray that God will either give us a miracle and bring Jim back or take him home to be with Him.  Pray for strength for the family. The rest of the team returned home Monday night, July 28. It was very difficult for them to come home without Jim and Sharon. Pray for them as well.

Tonight we celebrated the thirty-year ministry of Merlyn and Nancy Jones, Faith Baptist, Mount Vernon, a church plant started by them. Merlyn has now accepted the call to Oswego, Michigan and will begin there in August.
