Phyllis Tucker, serving with Max as our recent and beloved “Church Planting Coordinator.” Phyllis suffered a heart attack last evening (Tuesday, June 24), but doctors were able to open a 94% blocked artery with 3 stints. This morning a second artery, 84% blocked, had to be opened with another stint. Phyllis is resting comfortably, and both Max and she are thanking the Lord for making help available. Son, Tim, and Lorna, had just arrived for a visit that day from Pennsylvania. Son, Keith, from Cincinnati, has also joined them now. Please keep Phyllis and Max in your prayers.

News from the GARBC Conference – We enjoyed meeting with a number of State Reps on Monday evening. A pre-conference workshop by a Filipino brother challenged us to think, pray, and serve “Glocally” (locally and globally at the same time). “The Glory of the Cross” is the theme for the conference, and we have been stirred by messages from John Greening and Jerry Lancaster, from Hebrews 2 and Psalm 22. You would be encouraged by the resolution being sent to the government of Israel in recognition of their recent 60-year celebration.

Keep praying for the churches and church members in the Midwest who have been affected by both floods and tornadoes. May God be glorified in and through each of these churches and circumstances.

Linda Luedeman, pastor's wife, Vermillion Baptist, Perrysville.  Praise the Lord!  Surgery on Tuesday to remove abdominal tumors found them to be benign.  Some tumors attached to the stomach wall could not be removed.  Please pray for Linda and Jim during these days of recovery.

Merle Brock, wife of former State Rep, is making slow recovery from Guillain Barre syndrome.  She is undergoing rehabilitation in the Monterey Care Center, Grove City, Ohio.  Visitors are welcome.

Ongoing Prayer Needs:  Brad Quck begins chemo the end of May; Mary Davisson continues radiation after chemo; Dave Hixson, wisdom for July cancer surgery; Joyce Rase, counsels Temple youth as she deals with her own grief in the loss of husband, Pastor Dan.
